1 credit = $1 in discounts

What is GoodSense Club?

Every day, thousands of people donate their time to the community and receive nothing in return beyond recognition. At the same time, neighborhood businesses struggle to reach new customers.

GoodSense Club addresses both situations. Volunteers earn credits by donating their time to help others. Family-owned businesses accept those credits as discounts and receive new customers in return. The value stays within the community.

Volunteers receive something useful in recognition of their contribution. At the same time, we promote helping others as an activity that improves the society we live in.

We promote cooperation and reduce the “everyone against everyone” environment created by unchecked competition.

How it works

1

You help

You take part in a volunteer activity organized by a nonprofit organization in your area.

2

You receive credits

The organization confirms your contribution, and the credits appear in your app.

3

You save

You use the credits at participating businesses by scanning a QR code at checkout.

Credits represent the help you provided. They cannot be bought with money or converted into money. They are earned by helping the community, through referrals, or by receiving them from another person in exchange for goods or services.

Why it benefits you

Turn the hours you already donate into real savings on everyday purchases.

Use credits at local grocery stores, service providers, restaurants, and tradespeople.

You may also exchange them with other individuals. For example, sell your bicycle to a friend for 50 credits without using money. This applies only to private transactions.

Welcome bonus: complete an activity within your first 30 days and receive extra credits.

Refer a friend: earn 25 credits for every volunteer and 100 credits for every family-owned business or nonprofit organization that joins.

What happens in practice

1

You receive an invitation from a friend or nonprofit organization.

2

You receive local events on your phone and confirm whether you will participate.

3

At the event, an authorized person records your arrival and departure. The organization confirms your participation, and the credits become available.

Volunteer membership: $1 per week. A free trial is available. Monthly or annual payment costs even less. To remain an active member, complete at least two hours of volunteer work each month.

For nonprofit organizations

More volunteers, less paperwork, and verified attendance.

The problem we address

Finding volunteers is difficult. Getting them to return a second time is even harder.

GoodSense Club gives people useful recognition for their help and gives your organization simple tools to coordinate activities. Volunteers do not receive financial compensation. GoodSense Club recognizes their help in an innovative way: discount credits.

What changes for you

  • Your events are automatically sent to volunteers in the area through a phone notification.
  • Volunteers confirm in advance, so you know how many people to expect.
  • No more sign-in sheets. Attendance and hours are verified through the app.
  • You may also assign credits to sponsors who donate materials, equipment, or money.

How to begin

1

Upload your volunteers from an Excel file. The system emails an invitation to each person.

2

Create an event and enter the activity type, date, time, and location.

3

Confirm attendance after the event. Credits are then sent to the volunteers.

Cost: $1 per day. A free trial is available. Monthly or annual payment costs even less, plus $1 for each volunteer who takes part in your activities. To remain active, organize at least one activity per month.

For your business

A discount that brings you new customers—not a loss. The discount is for the customer, not for you.

What you gain

  • New paying customers who are helping your community.
  • You choose the discount percentage.
  • Because you may use the credits you receive elsewhere in the network, accepting them does not simply mean losing revenue.
  • Each customer who uses discount credits in your business costs you only $1 or less.
  • The larger the discount you offer, the lower your fee.
  • Credits do not remain idle. Use them at other participating businesses and suppliers.
  • Give credits to employees as performance rewards based on goals you establish.
  • Refer a supplier or business and receive 100 credits. Refer an employee or friend and receive 25 credits.

At checkout: three seconds

1

Enter

Enter the receipt total in the app.

2

Show

The app calculates the discount and generates a QR code.

3

Collect payment

The customer scans the code, and the discount is applied.

Taxes are always paid in dollars. If the customer does not have enough credits, the entire amount is paid in dollars.

Cost

$30 per month, plus a small fee for each customer who pays using credits. The more generous your customer discount, the less you pay GoodSense Club.

Frequently asked questions

Are credits money?

No. They cannot be bought with money or converted into money. Credits are earned only through volunteer help, referrals, or by receiving them from another person. You may also help the Club and receive discount credits.

Must a participating business accept discount credits?

No. However, the system depends on participating businesses honoring them. A business that does not accept valid credits may be reported and removed from the network.

Can my balance go below zero?

No. Your balance never goes below zero.

Who makes sure the system is used properly?

Local representatives review transactions and may request clarification or evidence. Confirmed fraud results in permanent removal from the network.

Italian, English, and Spanish.

Which devices can I use?

iPhone, Android, computer, or tablet through a web browser.
